Ronald Doran

Obituary of Ronald Bruce Doran

Ronald B. Doran of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and Old Chatham, NY died Saturday, February 9, 2013 passing peacefully into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ after a three month battle with gall bladder cancer. Ronnie was born and raised in Point Pleasant Beach NJ, and graduated from Point Beach High School in 1965. He was a trusted employee of Bob Hoffman's Carvel (now Hoffman's Ice Cream) through his high school years and that is where he met his beloved wife, Rena almost 48 years ago. Ron moved on from making sundaes and dipping cones at Carvel to institutional equity trading on Wall Street where he worked for over 45 years, the last 20 of which he served as Senior VP of Institutional trading at C.L. King & Associates based in Albany, NY. Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. His love for his family, Rena, his beloved wife, his children Justin and Sacha, their spouses Sara and Marty, and his eight grandchildren was second only to his love for Jesus Christ. He lived his life for Christ; desiring to be like Him, to serve Him, to love Him and to share Him with all he came into contact with. As a result he significantly changed the lives of many. He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria Kirchner, his father, William Doran and his 2 brothers, Dennis Doran and Ricky Kirchner. Ron enjoyed his time with family and friends at their homes in NJ, NY and Prince Edward Island Canada where he went every summer. His smile and joy were infectious and he will be deeply missed by many. We are all so grateful for how he blessed us. We are confident that he is now Walking with the King! Memorial services for Ron will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10 am at Hope Church, 259 Kemble Street, Lenox, Mass. and on Monday, February 18, 2013, at 1:30 pm at Grace Tabernacle Bible Church 4041 Sqankum-Allenwood Rd., Allenwood (Wall), NJ. In lieu of flowers family and friends can make contributions to Hope Church and Grace Tabernacle Bible Church. For condolences to the family visit www.pableevertzfuneralhome.com
