I had the pleasure of knowing Father Jerry as a Corpus Christi parishioner. We volunteered as models for a PTA fashion show one year which is one of the funniest memories I have of him. We also took troubled students on a trip to Canada one summer that helped all to heal in many ways. He was a kind and generous person with a bawdy sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.

We are sad to say goodbye to our good friend Jerry, affectionately known to our family as "Jer Bear” because of his kind and lovable nature. Jerry had a wonderful way of knowing what you were thinking and how you were feeling and then incorporating those thoughts and feelings into engaging conversation. With a sharp wit, and tuned-in to current affairs, Jerry was a pleasure to be around and was always quick to offer up a prayer for any occasion. He was especially fond of our military and would often pray for our men and women serving in uniform around the world. We are blessed to have known Father Brown and our family will never forget our Jer Bear.

I went to St. Mary's High with Jerry. The nicest person to be around. So sorry...
