Hermie, words cannot express how much you mean to me, and I, along with many, many others will always remember, and miss you. You are my makeshift grandpa, and I love you so much. I can't wait till the day when I can see you again, and relive all the stories and laughs we've had in the last four years. I Love You.

Hermie, you are one in a million; there's nothing that could ever take your place at JSAC, or in all of our hearts either. I'm going to miss you so much, I still can't believe how long it was since I saw you, and now that you're gone... I hope, wherever you are, you are happy and without pain. Love always.

This goes out to you Hermie, we will all miss you, mostly me of course. You were a great blessing to have around at the shelter. You were also the grandpa most of us didn't have. Now you can rest in peace and we will all hopefully see you again someday.
Lots of Love Always.

Hermie you will be sorely missed by all. You were always there when me and/or my car needed you with a smile and a laugh! Always smiling and joking, you were much like my adopted second father! Keep a watch over us at JSAC both 2 and 4 legged! Miss you much!

We are so sorry to learn of Herman's passing. Our prayers are with you Arlene and your family. We will always remember Hermie and how much he loved our "fat cat". Also, Natalie will always remember her first rabbit "Hoppy" that she got from Herman. And of course his "50th" birthday party.
Love Jane, Harry & Natalie

We all miss you here at the shelter. You were always here to protect your "girls" and to fix anything that we would break. You were there when we needed to be dug out from the snow storms and fix the leaks in the roof from the big rain storms. I often would find you in the cat rooms, giving your favorite cat some "lovin". You were a kind, gentle man and will be greatly missed.

I only met this wonderful man about a month ago. I only wish I met him sooner. When he took my hand, he also touched my heart. He made me laugh and cry at the same time. He gave me the precious gift of his daughter with his blessings. Thank you Herman for everything. I'll see you on the other side where hunting and fishing licenses are free. I'll keep my promise.
Your future son-in-law
