To all of the Maroney family,
Pete was a wonderful soul who was stricken with a very difficult disease so early in life. He suffered so terribly but never complained. He was a real "prince" of a man. We will always remember him for his kind manner and strength of spirit. Hopefully he will now be able to rest. It was an honor to have known him.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Nancy and Frank Cushion

I was one of Pete's Occupational Therapists at HealthSouth. I was the guy that got him going with the computer. Pete has left a lasting impression with me. He was somehow able to let events "roll off of him", and not become frustrated, angry, bitter, or down. And the events he had to deal with on a daily basis, I could only imagine in my worst dreams. When I would find myself irritable or cranky, and have an interaction with Pete, his demeanor, in light of what his day was like, made me realize that he was a much bigger person than I, and that I had a lot to learn from him. I did learn a lot from him. I am grateful for the opportunity to have known Pete. He has made me a better person. Thank you.
