Obituary of Edward Peter Maroney

Edward Peter "Pete" Maroney, 64, of Manchester, passed away, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was born in Montclair, grew up in Little Silver and was a long-time resident of Bay Head. Pete was a self-employed painter and wallpaperer and had served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Wasp in the mid-60's. He was a long-time volunteer fireman for the Bay Head Fire Company and had served as a lifeguard on the Bay Head Beach. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Geraldine Maroney. He is survived by two sons, Todd Maroney of Jacksonville, FL and Sean Maroney of Port Orange, FL; a sister, Susan Wood and two grandsons, Alexander and Dylan Maroney. Services will be held at the Bay Head Firehouse, Bay Head, NJ on Saturday, June 12 at 1:00 pm. Pable-Evertz Funeral Home, Point Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
