I met you when I was 9 and you taught me so much during basketball and softball. We stayed close over the years and you became an uncle to me. We had a great time coaching together and pool parties won't be the same but I will make it my job to throw a shoe or 2 in the pool in your honor.
I love you and will miss you Uncle Stanley. You are one in a million.

Dear Louise,
I first want to extend my deepest condolences to you and your family. I was both shocked and saddened by the unexpected passing of Stan, I will refer to him respectively as 'Mr. Karr'. I am writing this letter to you with a heavy heart.
Your husband had a profound impact on my life. As you know, my father unfortunately was not involved in my life as a child. As a result, my coaches often became 'father' figures to me. Mr. Karr unknowingly played such a role. As a coach he taught me many things. He was a competitor. He approached competition with a smile. He taught me to have respect for those I was competing against. But, most of all to never give less than 100 percent. As a person he was kind, generous, and enthusiastic. I carried the lessons he taught me during those very formidable years into adulthood. And, I feel he helped make me and many others better people because we had the pleasure of knowing him. Both of you not only showed interest in me on the court- you showed a generous interest in my life:school, work, other sports. For that I am truly grateful.
I have many memories of him. Most are through a childs eyes. His smile is one I will never forget. We still hang the ornament he gave to our team 1 year (a picture of himself) on our Christmas tree. I will always remember the pool parties. I remember the first time I came to your home. I thought "Boy, Mr. Karr is rich not with money, but with love from his family and friends".
During this time know that all who you have touched by your generous/ loving ways holds you in their hearts. I will be praying for you and your family that you find strength in your faith and the love that connects us all during this time.
Love, Cindy

Mr. Karr
From the moment I met you almost 20 yrs ago I knew you were an amazing, special person. I am truly blessed that you were a part of my life and that I know I will always have a peice of you in my heart. Your love for Mrs. Karr was so evident--I never saw you guys apart. People spend a lifetime searching for what you two have. You only knew kindness and compassion and it showed by how you made every single girl you coached feel like they were special and great. I have a ton of memories of you now and I will cherish every single one of them. You will always put a smile on my face. I love Mr. Karr!!!
