Obituary of Harry A. Bloom

Harry A. Bloom, 66, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Born in Salisbury, MD and raised in Lavallette, he lived in Brick before moving to Point Pleasant twenty-two years ago. Mr. Bloom was a retired New Jersey State Trooper and NJ State Casino Control Commission Investigator. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he was a member of the American Legion, Post 348, Brick and the B.P.O. Elks, Lodge 2151, Brick. He was predeceased by his father, Ted Bloom and brother, Robert Bloom. Surviving are his wife, of twenty-six years, Nancy Gunther Bloom; daughter, Jessica Bloom of Point Pleasant; his mother, Alva Blair of Jensen Beach, FL; and other family members and friends. Visitation will be from 2 - 6 p.m., Sunday, June 10 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 5:30 p.m. a service will be held. Cremation will be private.
