So sorry to hear that Amy passed. I will miss her. She was truly a good friend and helped
me get started in beading. Rest in peace Amy. You are in God's hands now and you no longer have to suffer. I will always remember you. Thank you for your friendship.

We were so saddened to hear of Amy's passing. We didn't know Amy very well, sorry to say, but we only knew her briefly, but she was such a joyful person and she had such a zest for life. She certainly could light up a room with her presence.
May God, our refuge and our strength help you through your sorrow, and in His mercy grant you peace to lighten each tomorrow.

To my dear family in New Jersey, I was down on the farm yesterday (6/24) and Dor told me the news of Amy's passing. I know Amy had been close to dying or near death on several occasions during the past few years but the news is still a shock. I loved Amy and will always think of her in light of the many many adventures we had growing up. All of us first cousins were "thick as thieves" whenever we got together which seemed to be at least twice a year if not more. Though life took us all in different directions it only took a hot second when we were back in each other's company to know we shared something special, a bond and friendship from growing up "Gordon", that couldn't be erased by our time apart. I had the chance to come out for 2 weeks several years ago and I was blessed! absolutely blessed! to be able to reconnect with Amy and all my New Jersey family I had an opportunity to spend time with. Regardless of what Amy's circumstances may have looked like or the outer appearances of her life, she loved Jesus! That in the end is all that matters. Jesus conquered sin, death, and the grave and he conquered Amy Durrua's heart, that should over time give us all peace as we move forward without her. God bless you all, Love, cousin Michael

So deeply sorry for the loss of this beautiful girl. I met Amy when she was 9 years old. She was the sweetest little girl and so affectionate and loving . As she grew up she had a sense of humor that kept me in stitches. She could have been my own private comedian. As she became a woman she became one of my dearest friends. I had many sleep overs where we stayed up all night talking, dancing and singing. She sang beautifully. She also was my confident. She knew all of my hopes and dreams and even when I had bad days she cried tears with me. I've had this intimacy with all of the Durrua sisters but most hysterical times I had with Amy. I love her and always will. Fly high Amy , Love Angie
