This breaks my heart. I was just a friend of his daughter Ashley but Frank would always treat me like a member of the family. I'll never forget the first bbq I went to with them. Hung out with Frank most of the time playing pool and having fun. Not many fathers would do that. Great guy, he will be missed. I'm so sorry. I love you all and miss you very much.

we are in shock upon just seeing the notice in last weeks coast star...
we stopped in to franks auto after moving here 10 years ago and have been customers ever since in that time, as our sons became drivers and car owners, frank nursed several of their clunkers along (ask the guys in the shop about all of franks' help with erics pt cruiser...) and was always there for them with advice and sincere kindness.
i enjoyed many converstions with frank about animals, music, and family.. you could tell how much he loved his kids - i especially recall him describing your music room..... guys- keep playing he'll hear youy from up there...
our deepest sympathy to you family from ours bill pam alex and eric pertgen

I only knew Frank as a customer of his auto repair shop but I treasured his knowledge of cars and trusted him to be fair and honest. He was always polite and a pleasure to talk to. And as a dog lover, I appreciated his adopting and loving Ruffus. May God bless his soul and grant him eternal peace.
